The NV (2009) MCFadden Brut was a Double Gold Medal winner and Wine
Enthusiast Editors Pick for Best Year End sparkling wines. McFadden will
release the same wine...with an extra 18 months held on yeast. Their first
ever vintage reserve "super" bubbly, the 2009 Reserve Brut, and arguably, their best
sparkling wine ever.
Famous for two dry Alsatian styled Rieslings each year (both the McFadden
and Chateau Montelena Riesling), the 2011 vintage McFadden Riesling grapes
were a surprise: late harvest and botrytis blessed. Taste the first ever

Looking back at the wines we released in December that you wrote about, we are almost out of most of them. The 2011 Chardonnay was the highest awarded Chardonnay in all of Mendocino County with a Double Gold from this year's San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, where, with a Best Of Class award, our 2011 Late Harvest Riesling was judged the best in the nation. Meanwhile, Jon Bonne put a Mike Dashe made McFadden Old Vine Zin on the SF Chron Top 100 Wines of 2012 list. I am so glad that the Brix Chicks will be coming to Hopland Passport and can get a last taste of these great wines. Thanks for all your support!
